Volunteers

Village Larder is not a community shop in the sense of 'not-for-profit Community Shop'. We do hope to make a profit (at least one-day). But it serves the community of Washington Parish and other neighbouring villages.

Village Larder is run by Liz & David Horwood who rely on the kind support of neighbours and other villagers who volunteer their time to help with tasks such as serving, stocking the larder, picking and even minding their son at times. Without this kind support Village Larder would not exist.

If you feel that you have some time, specific skill or want to contribute some produce to the Village Larder please do get in contact with Liz. We hope to expand the range of services that we offer, such as Dry Cleaning, Bike Rental, Parcel handling, (your ideas please) so extra pairs of hands from time to time will be very welcome.

One day we may even be able to hire people to offer local jobs in Washington.
